XAUUSD SELL Signal — $4325 Setup for 23 Sep 2026
Gold continues its slide today. Here is our fresh $4,325 sell setup with target levels down to $4,235.
Gold is sliding today. We just saw the price drop by over $21 to sit at $4318.66. If you are watching local jewelry markets in Delhi or Dubai, you might see retail prices softening a bit too. It feels like sellers are firmly in control of the market right now.
I am looking at a continuation play today. When the market falls this fast, it is usually smart to wait for a temporary bounce before jumping in. Let us look at what happened yesterday first, because we need to be completely honest about our losses.
How Yesterday's Signal Went
We have to own it when things do not go our way. Yesterday, we set up a sell trade at $4335.00. The market did touch our entry, but then it completely turned against us. It shot up to a high of $4409.60, triggering our stop loss at $4352.00.
This resulted in a total loss, realizing our full risk. None of our profit targets were hit because the buyers took charge for a brief moment and pushed the price past our safety line.
Losing trades are part of the journey. If anyone tells you they win every trade, they are lying. We take the hit, we keep our risk small, and we look for the next clean setup.
Today's Trade Setup
Why This Setup
Gold is clearly in a short-term downtrend, which is a series of lower price peaks and lower price valleys. We just broke past a key support level, which is a price floor where buyers usually step in. Now that this floor has broken, it acts like a ceiling, or resistance.
We want to sell if the price bounces back up to test this new ceiling at $4,325.00. This gives us a safe entry point with a tight stop loss just above the recent swing high.
If the bearish momentum, which is the speed and strength of the downward price move, continues, our next major target is down at $4,235.00. This is where we expect the next big group of buyers to wait.
What Could Go Wrong
No trade is a sure thing. If gold suddenly spikes above $4,343.00, our trade is invalid. A break above that level means buyers are pushing back hard, and the price might run up to test higher resistance zones near $4,400.00 again.
Keep an eye on any sudden US dollar news. A weaker dollar usually makes gold more expensive, which could quickly ruin our sell setup.
Bottom Line
This is a solid trend-following setup. Wait for the price to pull back up to $4,325.00 before you enter. If it misses the entry and keeps falling, let it go. Never chase a falling market.
